From the Dazzle Series. Inspired by the "eye dazzlers": designs woven by Navaho weavers in the late 1880's to attract American and European buyers. In the lower part of the painting is Albuquerque in all its modern dazzle: with the buzz of all things electric for communications, lighting cooling heating and in the upper part; the western horizon the stark appearance of native land; undeveloped raw and stark in all thar what was before the Dazzle.
